Larry K. Sanders

Mr. Sanders is an Instructor of Mass Communication and News Director at WPRL 91.7 FM at Alcorn State University. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He has worked as a contributing writer in several newspapers and taught several years at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas and a year and a half at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. Sanders has served on several academic committees in his collegiate tenure which include but are not limited to the Advising Committee, Academic Committee, and the Grievance Committee.

Mr. Sanders is a member of NABJ, ICA, AEJMC, American Association of University Professors, BCA, a Mason and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. His teaching interests include Feature Writing, Radio Production I & II, Introduction to Mass Communication, Public Relations and the Theory of Mass Communication. His teaching philosophy is that all students are educable. He is currently doing research on the influence the media has on African-American males in the United States.
